The Top 10 Questions
of the Christian Faith

The Top 10 Issues for Christians

We’ve all wondered about them at one time or another.

Maybe the kids asked – and we didn’t know how to answer.

Maybe we were the kid asking – and haven’t heard a good answer yet!

Our Christian Mind

It seems these days that not much attention is given to the Christian mind, despite Christ’s command that we love God with all our heart, soul, AND mind (Matthew 24:37).

How can we love God with all our mind?

Easy – we contemplate.  We align our thinking to His.  We concentrate on the things of God.

And we reconcile to the Truth.

What does that mean?  Simple – we set our minds at ease, because the Truth actually makes sense.

And if the Truth makes sense, then there should be good answers to these questions.

The Top 10 Questions and Issues of the Christian Faith

Here they are – see if any of these have emerged in your life…

God - Where did God come from?  If everything has been created, what created God?

The Trinity – Christians say that the Trinity is known as the ‘three in one’.  Isn't that a contradiction?  And is it true that the word ‘Trinity’ doesn’t even appear in the Bible?

Biblical Contradictions – There seem to be a lot of contradictions in the Bible.  Since the Bible is supposed to be without error, wouldn’t one error (contradiction) invalidate the whole book?

Hell – Hell is an eternity of terrible punishment.  How could God a loving do this to people?

Exclusivity – Christians say that Jesus is the only way to get to God.  Isn’t that arrogant and intolerant?

Miracles – How can modern man believe in miracles?

Crutch - Isn't Christianity just a crutch for weak-minded people?

Heathen - What about those people who never get a chance to ever hear the gospel - are they lost forever?

Good Enough – I’m a good person – I think I’ll make it to Heaven.  Can't I make it to heaven if I'm just 'good enough?"

The Problem of Evil - If God created everything, and evil exists, did He create it? Isn't this a logical problem for Christianity?

Upgrading The Curriculum

For years I’ve given away a quick one-page PowerPoint summary of each of these questions for use in Bible Study or for personal contemplation.

People loved it – it is a nice summary of the issues that can generate some deep thinking, open discussions, and further research.

But many people wanted more.

So – I’ve built a little bit deeper dive into each question – that’s what this package is.

Each question and answer has been expanded into a longer PowerPoint that dives a little deeper into each subject.

Here's an Example of the PowerPoint (Question #9 - Where Did God Come From?)

And – I’ve created a quick video of each, that you can use in your personal study, or as a teacher or in leading a discussion.

Here's an example of the Video - Same Question

In addition, the One-Pager PowerPoint Presentations have been upgraded and included, and can enable you to lead the discussion by utilizing general talking points.

Here's An Example of the One Page Summary

Learning - And Leading Discussions

The various materials enable you with several options.

The movies give you a chance to study and contemplate.  And if you choose, you can use them in your discussions or class periods.

The longer PowerPoints enable you to have that deeper contemplation of the information in your class time, with you being the narrator / leader.  Both the movie and the PowerPoints that created them are provided for your convenience.

And the one pager PowerPoints can be used as a handout, or even a one page summary that helps you lead the discussions that you learned via the movies or longer PowerPoints.

And of course, if you already have an idea of the basics of Christian Apologetics, these materials can be the launching off point for your own tailored class.  You could adjust the PowerPoints to match your teaching style.

So – as with the Apologetics 101 materials, you do NOT need to be an expert apologist to lead the discussion - or even a PowerPoint expert since your prep work is already done for you!

Remember – The Top 10 Curriculum is available to you in electronic form - in Microsoft PowerPoint for the teaching presentations, and a .mov file for your use in study, or in presenting for a discussion.

All of these files are made available to you for immediate download.

Bonus Materials

Many have asked if the materials that make up the ‘Why I Am a Christian’ page are available.

Well they are now!

I’ve included in this Package, the PowerPoints and the Video that make up the page – along with the transcript of the video, for your use in study and preparation.

We explore the path that lead me to Christianity – the stanza below:

-Awe and wonder, science, fear and purpose leads me to God

-My shame and guilt drives me to my knees

-Grace, love, hope and reason lead me to Christ

-Gratitude and purpose keep me in His Spirit

-Whom I now see was there with me all along

Here’s a summary of what this package reviews:

Everyone’s Spiritual Quest – Mankind is different from the animals – we have self-awareness, and a lot of questions about origins, purpose, fear and hope.  These are what make us Spiritual beings.  We are in fact designed to seek God.  We cover this in part one of the PowerPoint

The Journey Toward Truth – We don’t like to be mislead, or lied to.  We like to be right, and can innately understand that aligning our lives and actions toward reality serves us best.  So how do we find out what is True?  How do we know it if/when we see it?  How do we tell from error?

Comparative Religions – Now that we are on a search for the Truth behind the big questions, how do the options stack up?  Are they just different paths to the same Truth?  What makes Christianity different?

Christianity and Grace – A little more in depth analysis of the way that Christianity uniquely answers our questions, and proves itself as the only path to Truth

Available for Study and Presentation / Discussion

Many asking for this material wanted to use it in their studies, give to children or friends, or present on the side during a Bible Study.  Many want to use it as a focus of a Bible Study.

All are of course valid options, and available to you to use as you see fit.

Best of all, it’s free for you for purchasing the Top 10 Issues Curriculum
